LDN

Well hello from London! One day in the city and I have managed to get sun-burnt. In London. It's hard to know where to start actually since it's all a bit of a jumble if impressions and ideas. Maybe I'll keep it simple and say that Korean Air has some of the best airline food I've had. The trick is, however, to go for the Korean and not the Western option. The former will get you a bowl of fresh and interesting bits and pieces (minced meat, shitake mushrooms, vegetables) to which you add as much rice, sesame oil and chilli sauce as you like. The latter will get you deeply dodgy 'pasta with meat'. Speaking of which, on my brief wanderings in Seoul I encountered a very efficient dish - fish and chips served on a stick. You lump together fish, dip it in batter, press crinkle-cut hot chips all over it and then deep-fry it. Sadly I had just had The American Breakfast which came with the flight so I didn't experiment with that one. Tonight I will be dining in the dark at Dans Le Noir - more news to follow soon....
