Murder She (accidentally) Wrote

Ok so I got distracted a couple of times during the last post. Some of you might have noticed that I've mixed up Donna Tart (fellow student of Brett Easton Ellis, writer of cult classic The Secret History which all classics students enjoy because it suggests that we can be sexy, dark and dangerous) and Donna Hay (writer of homely cookbooks, trained at the Australian Women's Weekly test kitchen).  I suspect that Donna Tart's desserts would be a little more edgy.
I also managed to forget to describe the pie at all: sour cream, orange and raisins. It tasted a little like christmas pudding courtesy of the raisins plumped up in warm orange juice and combined with orange rind then poured inside a fabulous vanilla pie pastry and baked until it was browned on top but still luscious in the middle. AND I finally achieved artistic icing sugar without a sifter or anything. My splatter mat has dual functions.
