It's too damn hot

Despite the southerly, my little flat is very warm indeed tonight and my previous plans for cooking were simply not going to work. So, I used the opportunity to try something new: Ensalada de patatas con atun (accent missing on the 'u' because I can't find it in here yet...better in the kitchen than I am on the mac) or Potato and tuna salad. This was tuna, potatoes, lettuce, olives and a hard-boiled egg with a vinaigrette made of white wine vinegar and olive oil. The process of making the emulsion was cool - believe it or not, I've never knowingly done this before. It's very interesting to see the chemical reaction in action as the two clear liquids become creamy. Then, I'm not going to lie to you, I ate dinner in front of a fan and a dvd of Six Feet Under.
